Mai Yazid Abubaraka

Mais artistic journey began at a very young age, so early that she cannot remember the first time she picked up a pencil to draw. Many of her childhood memories are closely connected to drawing. As a self-taught artist, she had developed skills through personal experience and continuous practice. She works across different mediums, but mostly prefer oil paints. Her work is deeply connected to my Palestinian identity. Through painting, she explores memory, reality, loss, hope, and the relationship between beauty and pain.
