Artist Notes

The last landscape I painted was a year & a half ago.. a painting of spring and lilies that captured the scent of home. This new painting, is like a lost dream, an urgent desire to create a vision far removed from displacement, loss, and rubble. I paint nature with rough brushstrokes and, expressive colors to convey the warmth that envelops such dreams, my environment is filled with death and ashes, and choosing vibrant colors in contrast to this death gives me hope; it stirs within me a sense of love and a longing for something that defies understanding! These colors are a form of resistance… my own attempts of living !
