A cherished memory

This artwork presents a memory from long ago, following the 2014 aggression, when painful memories of displacement, loss, and the sorrows of childhood abound... a memory of my grandfather’s land, filled with chrysanthemums, where we, the grandchildren of this land, gathered to play, arranged bouquets of chrysanthemums, and took many photos to immortalize the moment and give it a form filled with memories! In early winter, when the soul longs for the cool breezes and the scent of citrus filled air, the memory of this work comes to life, offering the viewer a glimpse of that pure joy!The two little girls run toward the scene, carrying the chrysanthemums with innocent joy, as if they were carrying the entire universe! I remember that day; its scent is filled with warm nostalgia. I wanted to preserve the memory from fading, to give it form and color. Just as I want this work to bring the viewer closer to the characters and emotions it embodies, and to prompt them to feel the weight of this memory rather than simply observing the work from a distance.
