Portrait of Dirgham Qreiqea

This portrait was created as part of my artistic exploration of oil painting through direct observation. The subject is my friend, Dirgham Qreiqea, whom I painted from life, capturing not only his physical features but also his presence and character. After completing this work, he was killed when his home was targeted and bombed during the war. The portrait has since become more than a study in oil painting; it stands as a personal testimony to memory, loss, and the fragility of life. Through this work, I preserve his image and honor his memory, transforming a moment of artistic practice into a lasting act of remembrance
