Description

An abstract composition built around repeated spherical forms mounted on simplified stems, reading as stylized lollipops. Multiple red spheres are distributed across the picture plane, with a single prominent blue sphere anchoring the lower left. Between them, interlocking angular and curved bands create flowing visual pathways, and crisp white linear elements act as contours dividing the color fields.

The arrangement is non-hierarchical, with elements spread evenly rather than converging on a single focus, producing an effect of movement and dispersal. The palette is bold and restricted: dominant deep navy against cadmium yellow and vivid red, with terracotta, orange, muted green, and ochre in supporting passages, and white for linear accents. Paint is built up thickly in the spheres, where layered impasto is clearly visible, while surrounding fields alternate between smooth and heavily worked. The handling is Cubist-Expressionist, combining geometric fragmentation with expressive color.

No signature, date, or inscription is visible in the archival photograph.

Cataloguing note: Provisional descriptive title assigned during archival restructuring. This work was previously filed as a detail shot of Gaza Fish. It contains no marine motif; series attribution requires review. Medium, dimensions, and date are unverified.

Preservation Notes

Impasto passages in the spherical forms are raised and may be vulnerable to abrasion; handle and store face-up where possible. Medium inferred from archival photograph only. Separated from the Gaza Fish gallery during the September 2026 restructuring.
