Description
Two winged figures occupy a hazy, indistinct sky. The larger stands turned toward the viewer, one arm raised to her shoulder and neck, the other extended down to hold the hand of a small winged child beside her, who appears to float rather than stand.
The larger figure wears a loose draped garment in cream and beige with soft folds, and a hood or covering over the head in tan. The child is unclothed. Both sets of wings are dark grey, marked with fine striations.
The ground behind them is soft and out of focus, pale green, grey, and sandy yellow, with cloud-like forms and nothing solid to stand on. A small green plant or branch shows near the child, low and to the right.
The two are arranged on a diagonal, upper left to lower right, joined only at the hands. Everything else in the picture is dissolved, so the grip is the one fixed point. Signed lower left.

SERIES Filename groups this with the Heaven files. NouraAlqasiaHeaven2.JPG is a title plate reading HEAVEN ABOVE THE SKY OF GAZA, very likely the series this belongs to. Worth confirming with the artist. SUBJECT, DO NOT ASSUME A TRADITION Automated inspection described these figures as an angel and a cherub in a religious or devotional style, and elsewhere in this collection as Renaissance putti. That framing should not be recorded. It imports a European Christian art-historical vocabulary that the artist has not asked for and that may be entirely wrong for the work. The record describes only what is visible: two winged figures, one adult and one child, holding hands. What they represent should be recorded from the artist. The small green branch near the child may be an olive branch, which would carry specific meaning in this context. Not asserted here. Worth asking about directly.
