Artist Notes

“These works are what I created inside Gaza during the war, using very limited materials. I used oil paints on recycled paper, which already had sketches on one side. I painted on the other side.” - Nada Nada Al-Khatib is a Palestinian visual artist from Gaza. With a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia and a background in the Expressionist school, Nada’s work is a reflection of emotions, personal experiences, and the untold stories hidden behind faces and places. Growing up in an artistic family, art became her natural language to process and navigate the world around her. Her surroundings and the stories of her people have always been a profound source of inspiration, shaping her work into visual narratives that explore themes of identity, belonging, and resilience. Through her art, Nada aspires to create a visual voice that carries the stories of Gaza to the world, offering reflections of her people’s strength, humanity, and hope.
